Observed my first clinical case on Wednesday. Double filter plasmapheresis (dfpp) for a patient undergoing transplant soon. Hesitant to clamp the tubes due to my fear of air bubbles. Will be conquered in due time but a healthy dose of fear is not a bad thing. Keeps me grounded and safe.
Hope all went well for her transplant. Hard to watch a person in pain and knowing theres very little you can do. In that moment, all the stress, the unhappiness weighing my day down, the disappointments i carried within, they all dont hold any weight. Its really nothing compared to her physical pain.
