Wow, what a surprise disappointment at my English grade. After 6 long years of English education at Assumption English School of which 5 years Im under Mrs Sim and after retaking it for a SECOND time, I only managed a C5 as opposed to the low C6 I received the last year. An improvement of 1 grade over 8 months....omg, must be the grammar mistakes that I so desperately wanted to get rid of.(And so,pardon my grammar mistakes if there is any.)
On the bright side, I gotten an A2 for maths, the subject that caused me to repeat. At long last, I finally "wtfpwned" it. Oh and it was my first A grade after 4 years, the last A was for my History at the end of secondary 2, lol I still remember the Honeycomb bar chocolate bar that Mrs Sim gave me, so damn sweet that Im sure my diabetic grandma would have fainted just by smelling it haha.
Well, I doubt I would have passed my maths without people helping me along the way, especially during the last few crucial weeks. I really do miss the night study programme and of course, the period when we chiong fastfood restaurants and school library.
A big thank you to Angie for her last minute reminder to study VENICE for SS lol. For once I trusted her(You cant really trust this girl with time) and memorised some points about the chapters but soon regretted not memorising more lol why because only VENICE came out and its the only chapter I sort of studied.I really do pity those that mugged so hard on topics regarding Singapore only.Sadly none of them came out and many flunked Humanities..Hmm,I wonder who to blame..the teachers or students ?
Speaking of Angie, I once cursed her for fun that she will get a C5 for her English. Alas, I didnt know that my curse would be so potent!lol. As Im writing this, I think that the marker might have mixed up your paper with Wenbin's.Till now I still can't believe that the cheeky Wenbin got an A2 for English(Not that I look down on you bro, even Mrs Sim was shocked.). Haha.
Last year in a composition I wrote about an imaginary me(I didnt go to the hall so I had to imagine) being "hunted" by those that passed their Os in the school hall. This year, the role was switched, I became the hunter but a merciful one. I know and experienced the awful feeling of failing something so significantly important therfore I didnt really went digging for informations around the hall. Hearing some of my friends didnt made the mark, I felt so bad for them. Some were like war pals to me,we went thru the whole thing together yet at the end they didnt made it out.
However failures are expected, some again. An example: Way before the exams or rather, way before we even apply to repeat Sec 5, a letter was written by our former tikopei form teacher ah chew that this particular guy must not be allowed to repeat. See lah Mr Kng, now you wasted one lad's 8 months in exchange of what? 5 grades improvement over the total aggregrate pts he gotten last year(which is still alot). Well, at least from his potshots taken at life/studies/girls, he had someone in return... who could have guessed its one of the notorious twins omg. =X
Hai, one guy just wasted his time, literally wasted 8 months doing practically nothing but reliving year 2004. Didnt he see before the motivating posters pasted on the toilets' wall? One of them wrote something like "Its okay to make mistakes but the most important thing is to admit it and DONT repeat it again", Hai after being 6 years of friends, I really hope he come to his senses and stop sleeping away on important stuff.
At least I know I didnt waste mine, maybe wasted a little on games but still I did studied. Afterall I only had like 3 subjects to concentrate on nia. If this time round fail again, I didnt really have a contingency plan haha, sort of pass or die situation.
In closing, year 2005 was a fun and meaningful year for me. Time sped by so quickly that it felt just like yesterday. From the food festival held in May where my new class made Muah Chee to me attending my second graduation ceremony. My Class of 2005 will forever resides in my heart, rich with memories and warmth and of course, the unforgettable laughters that we shared.
--So this is my first entry,a recap on what I felt during 10th feb. There were many many other stuff that went thru my mind when Im typing, the above isnt all that happened, but somehow I just cant pen it out yet...maybe its bcos of the timing?(5am now).Who knows?--
