I always spend a few minutes reading through the orbituary pages in Straits Times. Mostly photos of old folks, with the occasion photos of youngsters. The orbituaries made me aware of my mortality and that people die everyday, young or old without any discrimination. They are always smiling in their photos but if circumstances allow, I bet some of them wouldnt want to smile especially the young ones.
I can imagine one of them saying "I ran out of time, i am dead, i wished that I did this, did that, said this and that. Now its "game(life) over" and I had to smile. I dont have any high scores unlike the old indian grandpa next to me with his half a page orbituary! and you! how dare you! waste the time that you have at your disposal by doing nothing? You defiled us by reading this page, you should glance and move along not fucking read it! Do something more than read the orbituaries in your office!"
So, do the things you want to do.
Say the things you want to say.
Make sure that smile stays real at the end of the day. or time when it comes to be our turn among the Home pages.
Abit morbid.
