YOG day 3

YOG day 3.
To recap the day, I must start at the end.
Its 10.55pm now, on the mrt home. My hands have cuts and blisters from handling the golden rod. The wounds tell me one thing, Im no monkey god with his golden rod. My eyes are turning red, that's my own body clue for tired.
3 hours and we were needed for less than 3 minutes in total. 2 hours 57 minutes, i sat there as an audience, getting my first preview of the ceremony.
I felt smarter already after sitting through the "parade of nations" segment in which all the countries participating were shown to us with their flags. So many countries I have never heard off!
11.37pm, Im almost home. Feels good to have the train arrived just when I reached the platform at City Hall and the transfer at Jurong East. My block's lift open as soon as I turned the corner and saw it too! For a moment I thought the dogs might as well bark out 'welcome home'...I hope everything from now on goes smooth and silky, like this journey home.
Can't wait for Thursday, I'll be seeing Merlion!
